Unlined sleeve zippers (or why is the Himel Kensington the coolest jacket ever)

If the gussets were of a thinner/softer hide, I could enjoy them more. Most I've seen/owned have the same heavy leather inside, which to me, is overkill and uncomfortable. Each to his/her own though...

The gusseted sleeves on my Langlitz Columbia use a thinner single ply of leather for the web. It does help with comfort and binding.

That Kehoe is excellent, techno! I'm surprised to hear they're this heavy, actually! Thought these jackets would be much lighter. Man, how come no one's making a repro of any of these wonderful jackets?

Oh, and I think it may have been Reed I was thinking of. This particular model:
