US Authentic jacket opinions

Hello all!

I'm sort of new to the Fedora Lounge, but I've been looking around and checking the site out.

I just recently purchased a US Authentic Horsehide A-2 jacket, just waiting on delivery (always the hardest part).

I've wanted an A-2 for some time, preferably in horsehide, but I didn't have $500 to burn, so I grabbed a deal when I saw one. The jacket seems like it will be nice, but I wanted to know other people's experiences with this jacket.

I got one in December.

A russet brown horsehide. I love it! It's a bit heavier and initially stiffer leather than goat, but will break in nicely with wear.
I want another 10 or 12 A2s so I can paint all the nose art designs on them that I have in mind,......guess I gotta get busy and win the lottery or something. :eusa_doh:

I've had one of their seal HH A-2s for several years, and I love it. It's a very tough jacket, nicely made of good materials, and if it's not as "accurate" as the premium repro A-2s, it's definitely a helluva good jacket for the price. (Their sizing is a bit strange - but then so is everyone else's, all in different ways.) It remains one of my favorite jackets... I hope you dig yours!

It is at that, but strange in a good way I think. My 44 regular fits more like a 44 tall, which suits me fine in that the jacket body has just an inch or so more length. Good for wearing a sweater underneath in winter, as the sweater doesn't hang down below the waist band.

I have a US Authentic goatskin A2. It is very high quality for the money. I especially like the russet brown cotton lining, collar stand, wool knits,and nickel Talon zipper. You simply will not find these proper details on any other jacket in that price range. (At least none that I know of anyway).

I also have a goatskin A2 and I love it. It fits well, a wear a 42 and the 42 is just perfect. The goatskin is very soft and comfortable to wear...KC
