Does anybody remember the bold striped boat neck sweaters
popular back in the late fifties and early sixties? I'm not talking
about blue and white nautical sweaters or
the Russian infantry type knit pullover shirts.
The one I owned way back when had black and olive green stripes
and was designed and worn by teenagers.
I can't even find a picture of such sweater styles on the internet.
Hmm.
Had the same problem trying to locate any passing reference to
Bates Floaters, an enormously popular show and chukka boot
worn back in the late fifties and early sixties.
Maybe it was just a Philadelphia fad.

Hi, can't help you on the first two, but Google Chukka Boots and you'll find all you need to know. Chukka boots were not a localized fad, never fully went away and are having - with so many other vintage things - a Renaissance right now. Perhaps, though, I misunderstood what you meant.
