This was a dirty white and I dyed it black. Should have kept it white.

I would have bought that jacket you posted. Just look more closely at the Appalachians. they are often interesting/unique jackets. Taylors made a jacket like the map pocket, without the map pocket.

They made many of the leather sport jackets for Sears Oakbrook label in the early 60s. They produced the same jacket with Sears and Appalachian labels.

I will post some of my Appalachian jackets.
I tried to but by the time I clicked buy someone else had it. Thanks for the information and the for posting the jackets, much appreciated, they're great to see.

first edition map pocket i passed on a little while back, the fit didn't really do it for me but it's one of the coolest looking jackets I've come across

Thanks for posting. I came across that (too late, sadly) in Classifieds on my hunt. Incredibly cool jacket. What was it about the fit you didn't like?
