There isn't a whole lot of difference, only with Office Communicator, you can only communicate with one person at a time, and in some programs, invite one or two more people into a conversation.

With a chat room, its the same as a physical room - Anyone can walk in. There could be 50 people in a conversation at one time. I don't believe it would be open to lurkers, only members who sign into it.

Thanks C-DOT, and by the way I knew a guy called C Dot years ago and you look NOTHING LIKE HIM. Let's just say he gave engine-nerd a whole new meaning.

Thanks again

Speaking of, found out from my boss the other day who is a big Roy Rogers fan, that his horse Trigger was stuffed and mounted. He's currently owned by a TV station to be used at a western museum one day. Weird...

It would be a nice idea. However, most of the ladies in here are just devastatingly gorgeous imo, and I'd be too shy to speak (type). *Blush*

Haahaha, that gave me a laugh lol I've never known anyone with the same moniker. It's not my proper name, it's just a shortening of my last name that someone came up with when I was a youngin', and it stuck.

The OTHER C-dot is a retired software engineer. His first name started with C, and the meaning of his last name was supposed to be a dot, but I can't find that anywhere. He signed EVERYTHING "C.", hence the name. He cut his hair, himself, every 4-6 months. No combing etc between hair cuts, and he once achieved a reverse Mohawk. He was also Nationally famous within our company for his plumber's cleavage...

Like I said, NOTHING LIKE YOU.
