when you start exploring 60s and 70s jackets you find great variants like this Oshwakon:

Another cool designer was NATURAL COMFORT! Not too much out there, but they used to emboss and paint plants and cactus on the pockets and shoulders..

To me, the painting really elevates this brand.

I love my Walter Dyer from 1976!

Electric leather studio is the best option but I think they require an in person fitting/measurement. I also get the feeling they are hesitant to size anything above a 40”.

I liked the Wolverine huge-lapel and side-zip jacket in whichever X-Men movie it was. Lapels are often really cool if wider - I like the Moonshiner for this reason.

If you're interested in "unique jackets" you really need to look at Australian makers up till the early 80's.....
We had many different companies that made motorcycle jackets as well as "sporting goods" that were pretty high quality and usually had soft wool (merino?) tartan linings.
My favourite maker was Aero Sydney (for a cafe racer/"Dr Frankenstein" flap over front ) and Numac and Stagg Melbourne for their different types of subtle blue leather police jackets that blends the look and kidney/hip panel of a Mike Lewis "Crusader" jacket with the one-piece upper back of a A2.
Unfortunately like a hell of a lot of other makers they've either gone defunct in the 80's or moved all the manufacturing to Pakistan and lost the uniqueness of what once was.
Edit: to show what I'm talking about I added pictures.

Stagg Melbourne
"Dr Frankenstein flap over" café racer with a double riders waistband
(It's a stand in since I sold my Aero Sydney one off a few years ago.....it had a 4 stud flap that had a wider flap)

WA police jacket
This one is for their "motorcycle police" yet the leather is less substantial than the VicPol general duties jacket in the last photos but is a lot more comfortable to wear due to the expansion pleating that runs down the sides and the underarm gussets.
