Is that a triangle or diamond on top?

Neither. It's a teardrop. The block I used is so vertical that a triangle, diamond, or even a C-crown, would make the crown look like a tall square box sitting on top of your head.

Man... that caused some recall... I remember when Remington Arms manufactured that nylon-stock .22 cal. rifle... it came in two styles... Mohawk Brown and Apache Black...

  7. First big winter storm of the season coming in. Thunder & lightening this morning before daylight, @ 37*.

Thought about posting these in the Art thread. I like the texture from the rain running down the windshield.

Hope you stay safe and warm. They are fantastic pics. The hatband offers some nice contrast with the rain shadowing across the hat.

Great hat AND pics. You definitely should post them there. Along with several of your others. You have a good eye for staging photos.

Great pics and that bib shirt contributed as well as the crease of your hat.

Great hat, shirt and leather work Ed! I envy you guys with skills.

All I can do is post old pictures...

Hopalong Cassidy (William Boyd). Seems like a good time for @AbbaDatDeHat to post up his Hoppy hat!

  19. The pole light overhead creates the rainwater shadows. When you see it in realtime the shadows move like worms but in a straight line.

Your pic reminds me that I tried to learn flintknapping arrowheads for a while & went to a few "Knap Ins". When knapping you need a pad on your leg. Most guys use a piece of thick leather as a pad, some use a piece of carpet. I had an old pair of chinks I wore.

  20. After a night of freezing rain & sleet the truck windshield had a thick covering this morning. The thermometer showed 21* but once I started to move & it could reset it was 18*. My hat is a Ritch Rand Tom Mix.
