The open crown look was a little too rounded for my liking, so I squared it off with a shallow center-fire crease. With a little more added steam and the weight of the hatband, the brim now snaps wonderfully. Laloo type No. 1 quality
There's girls and there's women and there's ladies Well he pushed his old straw hat back and he grinned And he said ain't they all a mystery ha ha sonny it's a sin They're all sittin' on the world they're tryin' to win........Ed Bruce
HI OK, the whole "macrame era" thing grossed me out (no it didn't gag me with a spoon). We had to do Macrame in Junior High art class, blehhhh. I remember those days, but wasn't near any cowboy bars yet. I DO remember polyester and still don't like it. I do have an LP of "Don't the Girls all get Prettier at Closin' Time" with a Budweiser label attached to it. My primary experience at a Cowboy bar was in College, I saw Pork and the Havanna Ducks at Panama Red's. Check out their u Tube of the Ballad of Big Foot. Later
I finally put that bigger ribbon on. There's probably an easier way to do it, but I just kinda made most of it up as I went along. Pretty happy with the result though.
