Anyone remember the 3D western Comin' At Ya? I haven't see it since it's original run in theatres (saw it as a kid), but I remember it as being a pretty good attempt at a spaghetti western vibe. Anyone caught it on DVD?

Rustler's Rhaposdy

I can not believe no one has mentioned Rustler's Rhaposdy. It's a hilarious spoof on the signing cowboy genre that still pays homage to westerns in general. Please put it on your rental queue as soon as you can ;) .

Some of my other favorites that have not been listed yet are:
Quigley Down Under
Red Sun (Soleil Rouge) with Charles Bronson & Toshirô Mifune
Destry Rides Again with Jimmy Stewart & Marlene Dietrich
Kansas Raiders or anything else with Audie Murphy in it.

And, although these have already been listed, my favorite classic western is The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and the hands down best Post-Modern Western is Unforgiven

One of my all time favorite movies is the Lee Marvin/Jack Palance version of Monte Walsh. It features a beautiful theme song sung by Mama Cass.
Jack Palance's performance is one of his best IMHO, better than City Slickers.

I also like the Cheyenne Social Club, one of the best buddy movies ever made.

The Culpepper Cattle Company.

The Cowboys, One of John Waynes best performances and a fine story.

Open Range just a damn good western

The Good Ole Boys with Tommy Lee Jones

Lonely Are The Brave-One of the best Modern Westerns of all time and Kirk Douglas' personal favorite.

Yep... a great film. Stewart and Fonda were great in this one!

Support Your Local Sheriff (a great western comedy)

For a Few Dollars More (I have always liked this movie the best of the "Man with No Name" trilogy.)

Pale Rider (great Movie)

Silverado (a Great celebration of the Western genre)

El Dorado (a wonderful mix of comedy, action, friendship, and drama)

Unforgiven (Not as much fun as Pale Rider, but a great serious reflection on the nature of the Western)

High Noon (a classic)

The Quick and the Dead (pure goofy fun)

Not only my favorite western, but my favorite movie of all time. Miles ahead of its ballyhooed predecessor, Rio Bravo.
