Raymond Scott playing stride piano (?!) - his own tune, called Happy in Harlem, from a CBS air shot of 1934. Where I got hold of it is none of your beeswax.

Well you lucky dog! I love stride!

Right now I'm listening to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's Jump With My Baby.:D

Just went last night to the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio and saw Yes & Asia on the first night of their US tour. Steve Howe the guitarist for both bands played, and played and played. Asia was the warm up and they played the usual suspects of radio hits, plus a few from the earlier histories of the band members. Extras include Court of the Crimson King, Video Killed the Radio Star and Fanfare to Common Man.

After a set break down Yes took the stage and continued to crank out some great progressive rock with the local desert folk definately doing some fine psychodelic dancing in the isles. I had not see Yes since their Tales of Topographic Oceans tour about 30+ years ago. Thye had to get a fill in for Jon Anderson the lead singer and found a great singer in Benoitt David from Montreal who came from a tribute band background. Oliver Wakeman filled in for Rick.

Thanks for the dance!

Care for an up tempo? Say - Long About Sundown by Don Bestor?
Get that rhythm section. Like 1932 in a box.

If that satisfies, kick it up a notch - here's Ted Fio Rito playing Baby, that same year. What pep!

These are YouTube posts by a dude named prozoot, who is doing some beautiful quality 78 xfers with original label art. Next best thing to having the platter.
