Good choice AmateisGal! Being a sticks man myself, Gene Krupa, along with Buddy Rich, are two of my all-time favourites.......enjoy! :drum::drum::drum:

I used to play drums in jr. high and high school - I was the only girl drummer! But I had a blast. ;)

Used to?.......hey, you should've carried on! Female drummers are in the minority, and those that make it, are generally very good! How often do you find yourself tapping along to a song........much to the annoyance of others?! lol

  12. Conway is always good. To me, he and George Jones are the quintessential cry in your beer, honky tonk, cheatin' country singers.

I actually do miss it a bit...and yeah, I tap along to a song sometimes, too! But my nephew is carrying on the tradition for me. ;)

Oh boy, now who's makin' funnies?! lol

I'm a big George Jones fan, too. A good friend of mine owns George Jones' old Dodge Ram and was kind enough to let me drive it.
Anyways, on the George Jones note...

This is Gene Krupa in Ball of Fire - the first movie in which I heard his mighty drums! LOVE this movie, too.

Sticking with the George Jones motif, George and Elvis doing Elvis's song Stranger in the House.

Then (1981-complete with Elvis and the mumps)

    Hiya,

Fantastic, thanks for posting! I'm sure you've seen this clip, but it's always worth another look - Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich drum battle. They are both great drummers, and Buddy Rich is just so quick with the sticks!
