I was in radio from 1983-1997, as a DJ, a copywriter, a reporter, editor, and finally a news director before I got burned out on it. Since then I've worked as a staff writer for a company that produces website content for Fortune 500 companies --specializing in case studies and success stories and such as that.

On the side I do freelance writing specializing in the history of broadcasting in the US, and have published a number of articles and a book.

And because none of these activities bring in much money, I work part time as a projectionist at our local restored classic movie theatre. With unlimited access to popcorn and soda, I know that whatever else might happen, I shall never starve.

I was a secretary for years. Now I run my own environmental consultancy and am taking a Law Degree.

I'm pretty sure that my environment could use looking at: it's almost certainly criminal!

Like Steve Martin sang on his first album, "I get paid for doin' this...".

I just graduated with a degree in Theology this past December. I'll be starting law school in August; until then, I'm working more or less full time in the circulation department of a public library.

I thought I had posted here, but I couldn't find it through a search. I'll try and keep my story straight in case I did. :)

I have a graduate degree in Counseling but no longer work in that capacity. I work in graphic design now and am writing on a novel. I also do some freelance writing.

I am a full-time student, majoring in Psychology and Social Behavior and (perhaps) minoring in Art History. Don't ask how the two are related, I'm not sure myself; lately I've been thinking of going to graduate school for Museum Studies.

My major was in GraphicDesign/Art History and my minor was in Psychology and Deviant Behavior, that's kind of funny.

For the past 3 years, I've been working in historical film & television, as a production services consultant / project manager (casting reenactors, historical consulting, putting crews together, etc) although my main focus has been costume design. Also produced a 2 hour feature docudrama on the Civil War that's winning awards in regional film fests.

Before that, I owned a medium-sized web design / internet public affairs consulting firm for 7 years, was a Presidential campaign staffer, a marketing / advertising and public affairs consultant in Europe, and before that a lobbyist on Capitol Hill.

I thought I posted on here earlier...but my memory must be going!

I'm a marketing copywriter for a book publishing company - I write the back cover copies for our books. I'm also a published author with a few articles and short stories published, plus two children's books. And I'm also a mom, which is pretty much a full-time job in itself. :) Have an MA and BA in history, but still waiting for the break to get into the historical publishing profession.
