I know there's a Loungers Whom You Miss thread, or some such, but I'm puttin' this here:

Where have Torpedo and Mr. Paladin been lately?? I miss those guys. Are you lurkin'? Major League hat-wearers in my opinion and all-around good chaps.

:)

Agreed. And what about our ol' pal, Sue?

Thanks! :) Its my current favorite.

Just a bunch of endless searching and good luck. The larger sizes ( >= 7 3/8 59cm) are much more difficult to find. For example this 1930s Borsalino is a size 6 Punti (59cm or 7 3/8) so a rare find.

59 cm is my size! You give me hope. ;)

Newly-arrived Knox Premier...

What an extraordinary hat. Who knew a few mm of binding
could make such a difference?

I see you're a regular on this thread now JtL. And to think
I knew you back when you were humble. ;)

Not that your collection of hats is anything to be humble about.

Thanks, feltfan.

You certainly have some hats that can make a guy humble in a hurry...

I can remember one, in particular. Well, sort of...;)

Cheers,
JtL

I'm here. :D I'm definitely not leaving to go very far for very long. I've been lurking around the hat forum mostly and posting some in the cigar forum. Haven't had any new hats to post lately since felt is pretty much out of season around these parts.

Thanks for checking up on me though. I'll be seeing some of you next weekend in Covington.

That Knox is a beauty, Jimmy

Nice, RBH.

Today at the zoo with the niece. This time, it's the zoo in Akron.

As usual, if there's a 3 year old around, I'm in my beater.

The jellyfish exhibit is a favorite for me.

I'm jealous of the way my wife swaps out the scarves on her panama.

I like the jellies, my niece just likes sticking her head in the fountains.

That's it for now. We're otter here.

What do you think about it? I had nothing but western straw to compare it to. I'm still waiting on mine.
I would say thats a good comparison.
But I never minded a stiff western straw, in fact this hat reminds me of a straw fedora my grandfather had one time.

I got caught in a rain storm yesterday with the Whippet on. It shed the water fine. It was none the worst for the rain at all.

Cool shots Lefty!
My daughter 'stole' my beater milan. And I think she has worn it till its is now a total straw heap!

Doesn't she understand that this behavior could lead to her becoming half-woman/half-jellyfish!

Oh, sorry -- I must be getting your trips confused...:D

I have a couple or three other straws I like a whole lot better than that Arcadia. I just sent one back to Tom for a reflange. I had a bit of an accident with the brim and a high back deck chair. Tom emailed yesterday to tell me it's on its way back to me and should be here before next weekend. That one will be going to TN for sure.

I like the color of that Strat, R, and it's good to see you in a thin ribbon for a change. :D
