That one seems to demand more than a flannel shirt...at least a blazer...WARs with contrasting brim binding are just dressier to me...

I agree with that. However, my eyes are colored by my older age. Dressing myself and seeing peers dressed in business wear, it's more normal to my eyes to see snazzy hats paired with more formal clothes, as they seem to go together much better. But to others not yet in that swim, I yield the floor to whatever they think works for them at the time.

I deleted my earlier post now that my new pics have just finished uploading. Here we go: my first ever cap (that includes ballcaps; I've never worn them) from Hat People. My favorite part about this cap is the liner. It's really quaint and cool!

And yes, I DID climb out onto my roof to take this pic. It's just a quick step out of the bedroom window for me lol!

I agree with you and Monbla on this (my only excuse is that it was around 17 degrees outside!). If you don't mind my asking this, I'd like to have your opinions as to what colors coordinate well with the hat. The felt is Bone (I think) with a grey/silver ribbon. All I've got to my name as far as dressier clothes go is a houndstooth-pattern blazer (green, brown, maybe some tan/orange).

That Bone color with the dark grey trim would work well with most blues and greys either in what would be called a Donegal Tweed or hard worsted flannel suiting, ie a pinstripe or chalkstripe pattern or a straight flannel. It's a nice dressy looking hat and as such would look best with these sort of "dress" suiting fabrics IMHO opinion :)
Take your time as you are nearing the point of aquiring something along those lines for your wardrobe. :)

Looks good Neo!:eusa_clap I dig on the liner. Is that their Herringbone Green Brown and Black model? In any case it fits your environment and you quite well. :eusa_clap

Cheers!

Thanks, DJ! You're right on the money about the hat, too :).

I think it looks great with that shirt. A good hat goes with most anything.

I'm of that philosophy as well. This hat would look amazing dressed up, but I think it would look sufficiently good with "smart casual" dress.

Today it was my Black Puerto Fino first at a Funeral then off to the Mohegan Sun Casino.

Lets just say I had fun and I feel less guilty for what my ancestors did to the Mohegans.

Another super hat day!!!
This is the hat you should wear all the time!!!
Looks great on you!

Thanks RBH, it will be a goto hat while I wait for that 7X to get resweated.

Alan you always manage to amaze with your quiet symmetry and how you compose the photos, especially the B&W work. Plus you have some gems for toppers. Well done!:eusa_clap
I'm just not too sure about that plaid sport coat.;):)Cheers!Dan

Just for you, Dan... but I spare you the color pic. This is a nice old twenties Stetson which I'll post about more later. It does look better on the table than on my head!
