In a rush this a.m. so I apologize for not having time to comment on all the nice lids displayed over the last couple of days... gear-guy, bowlerman, Harv, HamilcarBarca, Andy, Joao, mayserwegener, nice hats guys!

I'm back in possession of the Black Beast again, Akubra Squatter. So to make it less uglier than it is I decided to do something with it. I drew my inspiration from Johnny Depp's "Public Enemies" hat, (with a few of my own touches). I recreased the thing with a Center Dent and sewed on a wide Burgandy ribbon. I hid the stitching on my bow work....I still have to cut the brim down though. I'll probably go 2 1/2 wide on it, although Depp's hat looks a little less than that. More pics in the "Conversion Corral"...

Terry the hat looks great! Nice work. I think the brim is either 2 3/8 or 2 1/4 on Depps hat.
Charlie, looking good this morning with the VS, my friend!

Rei Joao always impressive.. brim is in,and always will be
Sorry if i didn't get everybody
Removed the Richard Petty feathers on this Las Vegas, Only 2 staples holding it on.
Threw a horsehair on it since the TAR is self coloured and almost invisible.
Surprised it fits Just trying it on today

Not what I wore to work, but what I'll wear home, I think.
Envy... so much envy...

Thank you. But Alan's Nutria overshadows me.

Love the big crown. How high is it?

Today went fuzzy. One of my favourite hats: Resistol Panda.

You guys have outdone yourselves.

TJones, nice conversion on that Akubra.
hatsRme - It may be time for another breakfast run. Nice Milan.
Alan - Loved that western.
Joao - You need a lawn mower on that hat. You are the best!
1mach1 - Classic.

I'm just in a Red Sox cap today. Driving the kids around to their respective sports et. al. Father's-Day-After.

dh66, Harv, Joao, Miamibruno, Thanks guys. I appreciate the comments on my Black Beast Akubra.

Joao, That is one fuzzy Resistol! It's definitely a neat looking hat! I bet I could cut that brim down and make a real nice fuzzy fedora out of that for you! :D

Harv, nice score on the Knox. 1930s - '40s?

Thanks... will post up some photos of this new addition in the pre-1940s Stetson Western thread.
Is it a new addition to your collection? You are really fortunate...

Nice westerns Richard and Joao!!
Thanks. Your Knox looks really nice for it's age.

No I wouldn't do that, it would became a normal hat. I like the way it is. Thank you.

I bet you could do, but you wont. I'm not sending it back to the US.
If you really want to make a fedora to me, give me that black stagecoach. I don't see you wearing it anyway.
