Great hats today gentleman!
Greg- I like the unfinished brim; looks very streamline.
Harv- Nice Whippet, always a great classic!
HatsRme- classy look, the white hat looks good with your blue shirt.
Eric- I like that hat ribbon on your Portis Dixie.
Justin – I like the proportions of that hat, the subtle bend in the brim and the high ribbon balance the hat out nicely
tommyK- That’s a cool looking bow, and the long hat pinches in the crown look nice with that brim shape.

Today I am wearing my Donegal tweed flatcap made by Hanna Hats in Ireland. I love the color speckling in Donegal tweed, it gives the hat great character.

Yesterday was a busy busy day that I ended forgetting to take a picture and it was a hat I didn't wear for quite some time, my Resistol Diamond Horseshoe.

Today was been a rainy day so this wool hat.

Thank you guys for the comments on my Penman from yesterday. John does make very nice hats.

Great selection of fine headwear the last 24 hours.

This morning, I'm going with my VS Sportaire in SilverBelly. The ribbon looks black in the photo, but is actually very dark green.

David and GD, superb! Got me thinking about some lighter colors too....

Today, the 60s Cavanagh. Hard to capture the rich coffee brown and black ribbon. I'll look for a different background and lighting on my walks to the subway station!

With a bit of iPhone color filtering... Better, but no cigar....

Great hats this morning!

+1. Justin, it gives me pleasure to see your love for these old hats and how they are coming to look like they've always lived on top of your head. Well selected and worn well. :eusa_clap

David, Eric, Greg, Charlie... you are looking swell as always.

In Boulder for a few days, could only fit one western hat. I went back and forth for a few days, then decided on this old Stetson 1X Nutria. It has a Fray sweatband that wears like iron (it's going to be close to 90 here later this week). I dressed it up a bit with a wide horsehair band that I normally wear on another hat. The 1X has a crease a little off center, like me. I once tried to block and coax the crease to the middle, but after almost 100 years, the off-center dent is not giving up the fight. The felt on this hat is particularly smooth and supple with no hint of the toughness with which it wears.

Mach, liking that color!

Alan, looking classic and mid-century Alan Ladd-esque! I enjoyed your description of the Stetson 1X!
