What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I am once again wearing my Cane Rod Maker dark moss because a huge cold snap came through overnight and it looks great with my new flannel

Took the kidscto the playground this afternoon and came across this shady, unshaven character. He wasn't even wearing a hat!!!

Moontheloon, that Delux Fed is a magnificent lid, compliments to you. Frunobulax, thank you for your kind remarks. T. Jones, what are you not sure of? That hat makes an impressive statement, I love it. Actually, I do understand your uncertainty, I covet this hat, but............
Our topsy-turvy weather means I can get the straw Biltmore out again. Look at the leaves in my garden, I could post this in Autumnal Thoughts.
When I commented about the leaves, my wife said that they were falling faster than the hairs out of my head, it's why I'm grinning.

I was thinking about changing the crease on my vintage strat, but there is a tiny moth bite in the crown. Would re-shaping cause the bite and hole to worsen?

it shouldn't make it worse ... I guess it could but in my experience they pretty much stay as is ... even when on a fold if you don't move it around too often ... I'm sure it would weaken over time if you flexed the felt often

I have a hat or two that have little pin holes right at the peak of the crease in front from what looks like a past owner grabbing the hat from the peak

what I do is decide on a permanent crease then take some fine sand paper and lightly sand the inside of the hat ... usually under the liner ... and gather some felt dust and gently fill in the hole with a tiny bit of a gentle adhesive ... looks perfect and the holes are gone

only upon very close inspection does it look like there is maybe the beginnings of what looks like a moth bite

You'll be fine. I have a couple hats that have a small moth bite at the very top of the crown and neither of them gave me any problems, and they were stretched over a block....

as creased....

What should have been a normal Sunday began with an early visit by the plumber. Lovely gent, with a masters degree (probably in Philosophy...) who was completely overwhelmed and drooling over my hat collection. We negotiated, wrangled, and bartered. Mrs. HatsRme couldn't have been happier. Well, maybe she could have been happier if he had taken more hats. What else do we need done around here...?

Looking like I did all the work (I only watched, he charges more if I help), wearing a mid 50s Royal DeLuxe Stetson.
