Have a nice day

Thanks a lot for your high number of likes on the Borsalino in "Bronzo"
I can almost feel the felt, Daniele. Superb. Love that jacket too.

Alright... First things first: I kinda think that I'm too... well... "portly" to wear a trilby or stingy brim (whatever term you prefer). Today I don't care. I'm channeling my inner thin guy.

I suppose that someone may have brutalized this hat and converted it to a trilby. That was my initial thought, but the more I look at the brim stitching and wear on the edge of the overwelted felt, the less confident I am about that. There are threads on the Lounge noting that very narrow brim hats were offered much earlier than the 1960s. So it's kind of intriguing.

Regardless... nothing I can do about its trilbytude so I'm gonna love it anyway. It ain't the hat's fault if it was mutilated.

This Stack in "Bahama Blue" showed up on eBay as a "Buy It Now" earlier this week. It is a model without the nifty cushion venting system. The Mac Lachlan felt is some of the nicest I've ever laid my hands on.

Have a Therrific Thursday.

All I can think of is: why would someone make a perfectly good felt body into a stingy brimmed hat? To quote Redfokker though: embrace the stingy.

Two hat day out of necessity. Went outside to 40mpg gusts. The brim on the Strat wanted to lift. Figured something more aerodynamic was in order. First stingy on the pile was the Borsalino Mirtillo. Stayed in place, with some effort.

Most of my borsalinos are not that fond of wind I must say. Tend to seek lift in that kind of weather. Looks good, Mike.
