A new Ebay purchase. A handpainted Resistol 4X beaver from Slim's Western Wear in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Can't seem to find any information on the store, or on "Hats West", which is who did the artwork.

I really like it, though there are a few holes in the top from mothing.

I am just finishing our last workout, coaches mtg. before a long weekend of gymnastics meet and as a result I am a bit tired and seeing things different. In that vain, I just am chuckling thinking that you should attach a couple of little tiny horse or buffalo figures to the brim. Bring the scene out onto the brim. How about a cowboy. A diarama on the brim of a hat. Oh boy, am I cheesy this evening.

Same hat I wear every day in the cold weather - Stetson, silver belly, 4x beaver, cattleman crease with 4" brim. Pretty standard rig but I like these.

Some day I'm gonna buy more hats.

Thank you Manfred. I have to confess to preferring the brim up on many of my hats, though from reviews, perhaps it feels better than it looks.
