We had a blast Sunday. We caught many fish trolilng and bottom fishing and then this beast came up. It was over 8 feet long. It was pretty cool in the morning and evening so I wore a fur felt out to sea instead of my usual palm straw or tilley. It's a Stetson hat made for Shepplers. Some moths have had some fun with it and I've worn it doing some other dirty work so I reward it with a boat ride 30 miles offshore.

The rod was a spiral wrapped rod that I built for my friend - it's now been put to a full field test.

I don't know if the color is accurate in the photo, but I sure do like the dark slate blue as it appears here on my monitor.
