It's poolside again this Saturday. This time with the Panama Open Road returned to its cattleman's crease. I'm testing out a leather band I had lying around. I think I like it! I've never been completely sold on the dark brown thin ribbon.

Thanks for all the kindness, kids! Tommy the sweat was replaced, but did originally have the "stimula-nub" enhanced ventilation sweatband when I first got it. Really wish that could have been salvaged...

Great hats, caps and fedoras lady and gentlemen. I am tuning in as I am typing while coaching at a gymnastics competition. Checking out the posts on the forum is providing a mental break. I am truly enjoying the show. Dynamite! Thanks for sharing the pics.

I will post from early this past week. Our weather in Minnesota this past week had me in a light wool cap, felt fedoras and by mid-week straw fedoras were the de rigor. The Dog Star and sun do not line up anymore this year, but the "Dog Days" of summer are in my area of the USA.

Today's Stetson 3XB shot isn't impressive, so I'm posting a pic of it from last weekend at my cousin's wedding. I tried to eliminate some of the contrast and glare. The courtyard provided a very nice backdrop. Unfortunately, my face looks orange!

Moon; Thanks. The Whippet straw is a few years old. The coating on the straw makes it a dynamite rainy day spring/summer hat. It has gotten hard wear and born up well. I believe there is an old thread somewhere on the forum with many pics of members showing the same hat. This hat I have re-shaped with steam. I desired more flange to give me a "big snap." This more modern Stetson has a variable fit. I recall ordering 2 hats in the same size and having this one fit much bigger. A bit of sizing foam and it has served well since.
