Early morning I completed yard chores in my Gannon ( silver mist felt) and a Pendleton jacket.

yard work in a silver mist Gannon..... you are a more brave man than I Eric that jacket hat combination is among the best I've seen. bravo!!!

Thanks Anthony. The beaver felt is super durable. This morning the snow and pine needles just brushed off. I did take it off when I had to start up the chain saw to cut up some fallen limbs. All said - I am a hat wearer first and hat collector is far down the list. If I can not wear the hat - off it goes to another hat needy person.

Wear them in pride and confidence. Eric -

Crazy awesome mind-blowing hats today!

I'm traveling under the circa 1910s Extra Quality Knox derby. Another hat that nicely handles the windy highway without threatening to take flight.

Happy Friday folks.
You wear that derby very well. Looks great. I think I'm going to keep an eye out for a brown or snuff colored one. I got the itch.

TFCD (taupe fawn Camp Draft)

I got this hat to do a video for Moon's "Monster Bash". By all accounts this color was on the stiff side and more difficult to shape. Thought that might make a useful video. I fired up the steamer and had distilled water ready to spray to show some options. Dang if this thing didn't shape up super easy and lickity split dry bashing by hand in about 30 seconds! No extreme measures required. Perhaps the nicest and easiest of all my Akubras.

So, poor me, I'll have to get another hat and try again. I put in an order for the R.M. Williams mid brown and we'll try this again. Strange to be wishing for an stiff difficult hat
p.s. this one also has a cool orange liner. All my previous Akubras have had white liners
