Stetson parabuntal as the season winds down...
Very nice black hat Daniele. In Italy it is not yet time for felt hats.
Today seemed like the right day, but then the heat prevailed despite the clouds.
I took for a waltz this Huckel "Foulard" in black
This is the big brother, in size, of an equal hat that will soon fly to the land of the Aztecs
It is the first felt hat of the season and then tonight I will make a small toast with a wine from central Italy: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and tomorrow we will see
Someone look at me a little bit astonished for my felt hat and he is right
It is obvious I tell you thanks for all the likes and appreciations for the various hats shown, but not worn.
From today you will see my face again
Love the liner tip on that Stetson Jim, great lines.

Good to have felt in the crosshairs Michael. We are heading for some felt weather over the next few days ourselves.Genuinely autumnal here today with drizzle and 60 degrees. Under the Backhouse again for my bike ride to deliver dvds to the library.

Love that buckskin Eric, perfect color. You get dirty in the best hats.Early morning meeting found me sporting a vintage Lee All-American ("buckskin" colored felt).
Lawn and garden duties were completed wearing a vtg.Mallory fedora.
Best, Eric -
Really a nice find Richard.3X OR from late 50s to early 60s
I just had to jump the gun on felts even though we’ll still get a lot of hot weather yet.
I found this one over the summer and decided to leave the modified cattleman. $15 price tag but the liner has been lost. I’ll post more on new hats

Stefan, Thanks! Superb Borsalino "Gulaela" from you today! You can't beat that: longhair finish and gills too. Gorgeous.
Thank you! I like to find special finishes especially Austrian and German Velours from the 1930s and earlier. What a beautiful finish! The bow is very nice also. I notice a variety of beautiful finishes on your German and Austrian hats.

A good thing you're still having straw weather for the BBQ, Mike. Out here it's oilskin weather at the moment.Capas Bogart straw this morning for shopping. Hosting a huge family BBQ tomorrow, had to lay in supplies.

Thanks, Perry.WOW!
Good thing you own one already, Bowen. All too often it's more like: "don't have one, but want one". That message seems to repeat itselfView attachment 134650 View attachment 134651 View attachment 134652 View attachment 134653 Greetings All:
Ok...i’m kinda in crisis today...i made the mistake (not fatal..yet) of looking in the classifieds at Justin’s Turf Club. Bad move for a guy in hat buying recovery!!
“If you sit in a barbershop long enough...you’ll get your hair cut”, some oldtimers told me awhile back. I don’t have a hat sponsor, so today’s hat is kinda my hat buying prophylactic of sorts. Hopin’ it keeps me “off the button”!!
“Turf Club is an awesome hat. I have one, i don’t need another”. Repeat often!!!
Be well. Bowen
