Found another one at the flea a while back- a vintage horsehide Harley Sportster One Pocket jacket. Needed some repairs- someone had trashed the zipper and poked holes in the bottom to run a leather tie. Jeezus, it was a mess, but the price was right. New C&C old stock zipper and a couple of patches, and I just got it back. I've got to stop buying these Sporsters- this is number 4 hanging in my closet. Sigh.

Just call ones like these a "rescue." Makes you feel better about acquiring them. I often look for ways to give these away to freinds in need or to sell them cheaply later on.

I doubt it, I bought few jackets that seller claims weight is beyond 9 or 10 lbs but it shows 2-3 lbs less on both my digital scale and fish scale.

Wearing the Cordovan Maxwell today. I'd quite like to just take this one overseas with me next time I go to a cold place for a year. Give it some proper wear- but I know I'll take the CR, too.

70’s Chicago cop coat. The earlier jackets are vastly superior. The black one made me feel like Paul Blart. This one is 2lbs heavier, navy blue and I feel like a bad mother...
I like!

First time ever I see one of these... Well, fit! Exceptionally well at that and it's an exceptional jacket. Might as well shave the beard at this point and leave the 'stache, though.

Don, Mike & Chet said they'll meet you down at Ricobene's on 26th

All the old CPD leathers I've handled have about half a dozen interior pockets, seemingly custom-sized to quite specific purpose [backup Roscoe, ticket book, etc]. Is that the case with yours?

It is. 5 interior pockets! Already know what I’m wearing to episode 9. Hot tamales on the left, milk duds on the right. I could practically fit my own pop corn and popper inside this thing!

As the thermometer starts to dip into the 60s F at night with the rainy season I took advantage of a rare sunny day to give my leather a vinegar water/sun bath.

Maybe I’ll put on the Arcadia to go for a walk along the beach in full moonlight later tonight.
