Like most of the days in the past.
With the weather here you get a lot of chances to wear a jacket. Sorry for the quality of the pic.
Cheers!

Today it’s a 1979 Avirex G-1 (currently my favorite go-to, daily wear jacket). Back in those days Avirex was just about the only one making repro flight jackets and they were very good quality. This jacket has superb grainy, thick seal brown goatskin which is an exact match to the goatskin on my original Willis & Geiger M-422a.
Has a Scovill brass zipper and a real mouton fur collar. I’ve added new purple/brown knits and now she looks just like a vintage Korean War era G-1 (I just re-watched “The Bridges at Toko-Ri” and this jacket looks very much like the one worn by William Holden, except without the squadron patches).

Likley one of the last days we can wear jackets here in the midwest. Getting humid, will be mid 80's by the weekend and near 100% humidity. Lots of rain to boot. Had the heat on last weekend in the house. That's how our weather goes.

Suprisingly nice Johnson Leather from Tony, originally planned for a friend but it fits me much better than expected. This jacket has hung in a closet all it's life, barely ever used. Little musty of smell but that will clear with use. I like the subtle black accents and dull brass zips.

This looks right on you. I like your other cross zips (especially that awesome cordovan j106) but it seemed to me that you look like you were a little uncomfortable in some photos wearing them

This RP-Ward cross zip fits me fine but it's best for someone two size smaller. The flap chest pocket is a bit too high due to my build. Judging from many old photos of cross zips, those guys definitely sport it oversized.

May just be the style of the jacket. Post another pic. The upper patch pocket may not work for you. Some jackets just look better in different sizes. I don't have a RP jacket this old, mine are more "modern" early 50s.

That jacket looks cool, hope we can see more of it. Did not know you had it fully restored. Congrats to you and Dena

I’m a 38 :)

If it's too small on you, I'm a 36 hahaahah

Layering up today with a Mister Freedom Ranch Blouse and a Joe McCoys Welders Jacket.

Really awesome combination here! I really like how all the colors work together as well. I am not usually that good with the color-match esp. when fades are involved.

If you ike the welding jacket concept but are put out a little by the price of this one, try something like on the link below. It will be a durable jacket, we have dozens of them around where I work.
