What Jacket Did You Wear To The Beach Today?

I wore an L.L. Bean civilian A-2 for about 20 years. I'm not so interested in A-2s anymore. However this GW A-2 with Indian goatskin is nice and light, and I like the fit being not too blousy.

OK, have to indulge my curiosity. You actually wear leather jackets at the beach in Hawaii? When? Why? Isn't it too warm there to comfortably do that?

Just got this nice Golden BearXButterscotch LB collab. I always wanted a GB jacket because they're made in San Francisco, but the fits are always a little too baggy for my taste. This Butterscotch LB version is modified to be a slimmer fit, so I had to jump on this... very limited run on these. I have to say, I'm very impressed with this cowhide, it's super subtle, yet has nice weight to it. But, really I'm just a sucker for two-way zippers! Beautiful, beautiful jacket!

Tried out the vest over the leather jacket setup this afternoon. It didn't work for me. I would suggest sticking with insulating from the inside, not the outside. It felt clammy, but cold.

Thanks brudda! Yes, 1965 custom cab. Bought it from the old Italian guy in my neighborhood many years ago. It was his work truck, slowly fixed all the little things over the years. Great truck!

It’s a Dehen N-1 day. Spent my morning shoveling with our fresh 3” of snow. Now running errands and this jacket is a perfect choice: flexible enough to move around, thick mouton for warmth, and the waxed exterior provides good water resistance.
