I own four pairs of cowboy boots and I wear them quite often, I even wear them with my tuxedoAre they easy to wear? It feels like they might be quite a statement boot in a European environment.

Did it start out smooth with very little grain showing? That's just incredible looking. I'm trying to learn to calibrate my eye to tell which Vanson hides will end up looking like this. Just stunning!! If I ever stumbled across one of those in a 42, I'd be hard pressed not to buy it immediately.Thank you,I bought it new in 2012,it's easily the best competition weight I've ever handled, also far better than any of the horween horse or steer, and I've owned a lot, moved them all on,can't go the topcoat wearing if you look at it the wrong way,![]()
Agreed.I own four pairs of cowboy boots and I wear them quite often, I even wear them with my tuxedo. I really don't care about how other people feel about them. If I'd have to conform to what other people are wearing I'd have to wear trainers, sweat pants and hoodies, no thank you.

I'm afraid I don't know as I got it preloved two years ago from another member.I know this is an older post, but how old is that Enfield? The leather on it looks nice! My next dream jacket.
That seems to make sense based on my limited exposure to this topic also. I think I've read that's about when Vanson stopped using horsehide. Can't remember where I read that, somewhere on this forum.I'm afraid I don't know as I got it preloved two years ago from another member.
It is horsehide however and from what I read it could mean late 90's early 00's but don't quote me on that.
Really interesting long style. I like it!Dalees Japan surcoat, found this gem for a good price on Mercari, cowhide I think,

Why are you buckling your belt like that?
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Haha you noticed. Simply out of convenience. The belt right now is too stiff to bend and then go through the buckle so I started skipping it until the leather softens enough it can bend fast enough for easy operation. Why are you buckling your belt like that?
I’d like to know this too! That seems to make sense based on my limited exposure to this topic also. I think I've read that's about when Vanson stopped using horsehide. Can't remember where I read that, somewhere on this forum.
