I ordered through a shop called Franklin & Poe. I'm in the US and they're in Philadelphia, PA. The store's "citywide" jacket is basically the tailgunner without the western yoke. They have stock of this jacket in 3 different leathers and free returns so if you're interested but unsure of fit you can try it out with peace of mind. That's what I did and then ended up returning the size 40, which I used as a fit jacket, and then placed the order through Franklin & Poe with a few changes.
Perfect.

Freewheelers S8 aviator jacket. This has been getting a lot of wear recently, super versatile and looks great with indigo denim!

I know a2 are very simple but I really love my Double helix. I personally love how easy they are to style. You can always dress them up or down. Junkard boots and blues js
I was thinking let’s add to this fun which one do you al like double helix (black) or rainbow county (brown)?

I’ve heard some criticism about their horsehide but your jacket looks amazing. I’m guessing the new stuff shows character once broken in.
I have a HH Lightning purchased earlier this year. It's vinyl-like at first to the extent that I'm self-conscious about it, but it's showing promise with break in. The sleeves have some excellent creasing now and the grain is starting to pop there. I got it out yesterday now that the weather is getting cooler and gave it probably 8 hours of wear, I'm trying to make a concerted effort to break it in so wearing as much as possible around the house, to try and get the body panels and collar looking less smooth. I have a thread from when I bought it and updated it earlier today with photos if you want to see a more recent HH from them.

First day back from a lovely vacation in Greece, and home welcomes me with storm and torrential rain.
LL Lightning for the chores I couldn’t delay.

Good to see this jacket again, as you shared the 5 year photo in my thread earlier this year! What's the watch I can just see poking out of the sleeve? It looks very similar to my Navitimer...

Yes, I remember. It´s getting extended wear now that I have lost some excess weight and it fits perfectly again.

The watch is actually a latest model Pepsi.

I’m digging the black one. I really like the contrast between the black leather and the brown knit.

I like both colors. It's hard to choose a leader

Your Type-III is seasoning up nicely. It appears you have avoided getting any nasty stains on the jacket which is a feat in itself. I remember is was a pink-white when you first posted and now it's evolving very well.

Thanks for keeping us up-to-date on the transition.
Cheers!
Copper buttons are leaving a few marks here and there but otherwise I managed to keep it clean (so far) and left sun and rain do their job.
