Last night it was the Family Special to go from Carolina's (an Italian place near Disneyland): mushroom and pepperoni pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, and garden salad with ranch dressing.

Yep. Pork with Sweet Baby Ray's slightly doctored up sauce.
They were very good.

I like Stubb's sauce on mine----Spicy.

Darn! Some of the best sauce out there. I get it from a Kroger derivative out here.

Thanks. We do have a Kroger nearby (although my Wife doesn't normally shop there)..but she will look for Stubbs at that store.

I don't care for the sugary sweet BBQ sauce and do like a little tanginess.

I like Stubb's sauce on mine----Spicy.

I am currently totally addicted to Stubb's - spicy but not enough that you can't still eat a mound of meat with it. Also better balanced than so many "thick" sauces, it's thinner with nice acidity. Love it.

Exactly why I like it better as well. I don't like overly sweet sauces but then Sweet Baby has it right in the name. I have been known to use it on more things than meat too.

I should also mention that they also have a decent line of marinades and some decent hardwood lump charcoal.

I don't consider Sweet Baby Ray's as overly sweet as some heavy molassesly BBQ sauces. SBR's has a taste that seems to calm the sugary candy taste that some brands go overboard on. I can't stand BBQ wings at KFC simply because of that too sweet flavor.

Yeah, too much molasses can ruin a good sauce. I am more into savory flavors than sweet---especially with meat. Salt, fine. Sweet? PU!
