Try some!
Grilled or broiled, they are still Vienna Sausages. I wonder f the Viennese are insulted by such a product.![]()
Ha!! Grilled or broiled is usually how they eat them.......for breakfast. Weiners boiled in chicken broth (what that juice in the can is) is pretty standard fare.
No wonder they drink so much beer.

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Then again, I never tried the Hot and Spicy or the Smoked Jalapeno.![]()
Those are good! I also like the Barbecue ones. Yes, I keep cans of them in my desk drawer at work for snacking purposes.

One of my favorite sites for nutty vintage foods: http://lileks.com/institute/gallery/index.htmlWell post up Please. It didn't look especially tasty but it sure looked like fun.
Maybe there should be (or is ?) a thread for crazy looking foods from back when.

I think the olive eyes are what make it so special.

Had to dig to find this. JP your olive eyed fish jello made me think of this. Not just olive eyes but yummy piped on mayonaise trim. This is some kind of fish meatloaf type dish I encountered in Kiev. It's been wrapped back in it's own skin and shaped more or less back fishlike, then decorated for presentation with the head and fins. Yummy!! More vodka please.

Here's the meat case from the same deli. Note all the various sizes of vienna sausage type products to the left hand side. The center is filled with an assortment of rustic bacon/ham type products that are sliced to order. MUCH better than the fish loaf.
