What's the best company for shipping hats?

I know the rate for shipping hats USPS and UPS in hat boxes recently went way up as they now price by the size, not the weight, but what about FedEx? Someone told me they did not follow this trend and remain reasonable. Anyone know?

All have online sites where you can enter box sizes, weights, destination & origination and get the shipping costs. Why not check those out? I think distances is one of the parts of the equation as to what shipping costs.
