Who is still alive from the Golden Era of movies?

I've been wanting to compile this list since forever! With the recent losses of Yvonne DeCarlo, Betty Hutton, Marian Marsh, Bruce Bennett, and Kitty Carlisle Hart I figured now would be a good time.

Here's who I have so far:

Frederica Sagor Maas (1900)
Doris Eaton (1904)
Charles Lane (1905)
Barbara Kent (1906)
Dorothy Boyd (1907)
Miriam Seegar (1907)
Anita Page (1910)
Dorothy Janis (1910)
Gloria Stuart (1910)
Luise Rainer (1910)
Mary Carlisle (1910)
Lupita Tovar (1911)
Marie Osbourne (1911)
Beverly Roberts (1914)
Celeste Holm (1917)
Florence George (1917)
Baby Peggy (1918)
Virginia Davis (1918)
Mickey Rooney (1920)
Jane Russell (1921)
Jackie Cooper (1922)
Jean Darling (1922)
Edith Fellows (1923)
Angela Lansbury (1925)
Shirley Mills (1926)
Cora Sue Collins (1927)
Shirley Temple (1928)
Sybil Jason (1929)
Elizabeth Taylor (1932)

If any of these people have died please let me know. I'm trying to get as many living names as possible. Thanks!

Forgive me if this topic has been mentioned before, but I *did* use search and I couldn't find anything!

And you can take Tom Poston off that list, Rafter. He checked out last week.

And Yvonne DeCarlo and Sally Gray are gone, too!

Other than that, that list was very helpful in my quest for names of people who have debuted in a movie in or before 1949. Thanks!

And speaking of classics who are still alive...

Interesting story about Kirk Douglas on the CNN site today:

http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/books/05/08/books.kirkdouglas.ap/index.html

He talks about his contemporaries, most of whom are no longer qualified for this thread, if you get my drift. His observations about life and the world are the most valuable to us all.

I read his book The Ragman's Son. It was both fascinating and enlightening. I'm looking forward to his new book, as well as the previous eight that I missed.

For me the Golden Era is the 1930s,
So it 'd be film stars that were ALREADY famous during the mid-thirties.
That is ,they 'd have been born in 1900 to 1915.
In other words they'd have to be close to 90 years plus.
Apart for Gloria Stuart or Anita Page or S.Temple who was a child star as M. Rooney was, who else is still alive from that time? That's what I really want to know.

For film stars of the 40s, 50s,or even 60s (heaven forbid  lol ) we can make another thread. OK? ;)

BTW edit to say that Amy Jeanne has some interesting names on her list. Thanks for that Amy! Who else?

Marsha Hunt is still very much alive. She was born in 1916, and made her first Hollywood film in 1935. Does this work for ya? ;)

If you're looking to add B-list lovelies, add Adrian Booth (aka Lorna Gray), b. 1918 and still very much with us. Career highlight: Catching the creampuff right in the mouth during the pastry fight in THREE SAPPY PEOPLE. (Contrary to popular belief, she did not choke on that creampuff, although a concerned Jules White [the director] almost thought so and nearly ruined the take.)

Poston was a nice man....he signed the back of one of my Playbill's a decade or so ago!
THat's terrible news. I know that he recently married Suzanne Pleshette. And that she herself is very ill. They were best friends when they first started out in their careers. They finally tied the knot and were so happy together.

I've seen him on the Game Show Channel, I believe it was on To Tell The Truth, with the late Kitty Carlisle, Peggy Cass, Gary Moore. I think Orson Bean is the only one alive from that group.
