Thanks Dave. I wanted to wear it a few more times before the sloppy winter weather arrives. I’ll go thru some summer pics & see if I can find any of my other two worthy of posting since those pics have been lost top.Sweet!

Thanks Blare! Like the lines of a classic car. That is one striking hat, HJ
A 4X is likely older than any of my 3. If you roll out the sweat you might find the date. Mine are handwritten on the tape support behind the sweat stitching. Not sure how many of these Worth-Walden hats are out there
Good call to check - surprisingly, I see 11-1-94. I'm not sure I realized that the store lasted that long. Nevertheless, a great hat.A 4X is likely older than any of my 3. If you roll out the sweat you might find the date. Mine are handwritten on the tape support behind the sweat stitching.
Mine are all 1991, 15X. Bob just picked up a 100.Good call to check - surprisingly, I see 11-1-94. I'm not sure I realized that the store lasted that long. Nevertheless, a great hat.

Apparently the United Hatters, Cap and Millinery Workers International Union (UHCMW) was active in Texas until 1983, so I'd guess this hat pre-dates that. The second Worth-Walden from the same seller came today. I asked if she had anymore since she had listed one per day and that I would save her the effort of listing. Unfortunately she only had the two that I, fortunately, now own. This one is a fedora of, what seems to be, an earlier vintage and not marked as beaver, so I assume, rabbit and/or hare. Wildly soft, it came as an open crown hat, seemingly never bashed or even worn before. I was so excited I steamed and creased it before I took any photos. The brim is 2 3/8" and the crown 4 1/2", as bashed. I can't decide if it's a very dark gray or a non-shiny black. Either way, putting on my "Jewish" hat for a moment (couldn't resist), I'd say that I'd wear this for religious functions as well. That all may be unnecessary to say however, since I may never take this off, it is that nice a hat. The size tag reads 7 1/8, but the reproduction tag seems to say 7 1/4. Either or, it is an absolute perfect fit on me.
