Eric, SPECTACULAR VS!!! I love the color, the vent hole style and especially that wonderful twist in the ribbon. It reminds me of a 1930's hat that I own with that sort of twist. It looks wonderful on you! :eusa_clap:eusa_clap

Che; Thanks for the nice comments sir! This granite is a dynamite hat, but I still bow in the hat world to you the "Hep Cat." Great Milan! It is truly a Che styled lid. I am imagining it snapped up with a styling CA shirt.

Mike, Tom, Brando, BR, Dano, Bowlerman; Thanks guys. I am glad that you enjoy the hat with a twist. It is a risk for conservative me, but I am truly enjoying it. Fashion risk is now me. Seriousely, it is a hat packed full of features.

Rabbit; The granite is suprisingly versatile. For grins I wore it with a warmer shade of blazer and gaberdines yesterday and it worked like a charm. Good idea on the felt color differences. I will post up some color comparision pics this coming weekend. Love the lite felt fedoras from Art!

Josh; I admire your refined hat tastes and hence value your appreciative comments. Thanks again.

Delectans; Al, much thanks to you and the posts you put up on this thread a while back of your granite. I benefited much from the effort and time you put into the pics and post of the gorgeous VS fedora you own. The lite felt will get much wear at my home.

Kao, Landman; Just when you consider that your current VS's cover all your hat needs, Art comes up with another bloody great hat! Thanks for the comments gents.

Dean; Another thanks sir. I am following in your steps with the Wanderer. The lite version is just perfect for my needs. The fact that Art Fawcett spiffed it up with a twist is icing on a darn nice cake. Your bluesmoke and pecan are classic lids with the perfect ribbon dimensions, IMO.

Best to all respondants, Eric -

My pleasure Eric. When I was spec'ing out my first VS Custom, I told Jimmy the Lid that I wanted a Stetson Playboy style with a bound edge.
He sent me the magazine ad that you posted of the Almond Tan Wanderer. I agree with the "perfect ribbon dimensions" = not too wide & not too thin! Love the Twist...that Art is an artist!

Thank you Gentlemen, I love all the comments. What Eric isn't mentioning is that we discussed how conservative his dress is and the end of the conversation was, "well, if you have some ideas then go ahead but remember I'm conservative" ( I'm paraphrasing)so I didn't tell him what was coming. Somehow the suspense is fun. I knew he was worried so I simply gave a small hint. Geeze this is fun when you know a client well enough to tease.
