Alan, it is that hat and you are right, the first really oldie for me. Comparing this one to moderns... the craftsmanship that produced this hat is long lost. I love it. Been wearing it since I took it out of the box.

I've lost the original post with photos of the sweatband, but if memory serves correctly it's a Real Nutria Fur with a LOT5XXX stamp - late 1920s to 1930.

The sweatband was replaced but Harv kept it and sent it also along with the liner it had. It have the "oval" Real Nutria crest.

Man it is the nicest felt on a Strat that I have ever handled bar none. And I have wanted a green Strat forever.

I can make most 7 1/8 vintage Stetsons work for me. I haven't given up on it but I haven't figured out how to shrink my noggin quite yet!

BTW - I LOVE that green Borsalino you just picked up! What a unique piece! Very nice my friend.
