Incredibly nice wool hat, Steve. Do you own a beater hat, or anything that could be called mediocre? Every day is a treat with guys like you on the FL.
No, he only comes here to make us all feel miserable... [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

He has a couple of hats I will kill for, but he is safe, we wear different sizes

Thank you thank you! I really try to. :That means a lot coming from you guys. I am nowhere near where you all are at with your collections. I'm still a rookie. :)
Most of us were there too. Except Alan, he was born with a beautiful 1920s Stetson on his head. I've only been addicted for a couple of years, and I still don't have enough in my stable.

That Zephyr is a very nice looking hat. Looks like great hot weather wear.

That Whiskey Gannon sure goes well with your jacket, shirt, sweater combo today. You really picked another winner, Eric.

Thanks sir. The hat allows me to reach into my wardrobe and select some of the "other stuff."

Eric,All due respect that's an awfully ugly hat, I heard it is a 7 1/2, if so, you should ship it far away from you, let's say,.... México?I am even willing to pay for the shipping charges so you don't have to wear such an ugly hat.

Thanks sir. I appreciate it greatly knowing that your hat rack is full of dandy hats. I understand that shipping is around the cost of a vtg. Mercedes. Perhaps we can arrange a trade. I do love a Mercedes with fins like your restored beauty. Thanks!

I hope Eric doesn't and ships the hat [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

Oh you were kidding. Bummer! I was really hoping to change my commuter auto to one with the Mercedes emblem on the hood.

Many thanks to all the folks who "liked" my post. I have been really enjoying whiskey (a felt hat) today. Eric -

Today, beautiful spring day. I have a curiosity to show
They are two hats with stitching made up of two Italian manufacturers
j7zq0w.jpg

The first is a gray Borsalino produced in the historical factory of Alessandria
oh2q76.jpg

Qualità Extra Superiore is a typical product of the 70s
33c0v2t.jpg

Very soft and of great wearability has the proportions typical of that period.

The second is an absolute rarity for my collection
2ui94hu.jpg

It is a Montevarchi - Tuscan manufacturer produced in "La Familiare" hats factory. Founded in 1905 and finally closed in
1976.
zv36rk.jpg

This cappelificio had its golden years in the postwar period until the early seventies when it closed after being semi destroyed by the 1966 flood
dr2r6d.jpg

The hat is made of fine quality wool with this "modern" finish in those years.
It came again, along with Borsalino, at the end of last week, so I thought it would be nice to show these hats especially unfashionable so tied to the taste of the seventy.

Thanks for the likes on yesterday Dobbs-Panizza

The stitching on this rare hat is really cool. Quite a find.
