Two hat day, similar, but each with their own story. My humble addition to the fabulous Lee hats that have been featured here are these Back Bows from the late 1950s. I figure they both are about as old as I am. I can go with that. The brown Lee "Jet" is c1957 based on ads. The grey one is a "Smartlee" which can be dated to 1955 based on provenance from the seller. It first appears in an advertisement in that year as a "new" look and style...

1955 Smartlee back bow. Bought by a newlywed on their honeymoon, much to the wife's displeasure as the story goes...

It's a Buckaroo Hatters. It was not custom made for me and I got it second hand from a lounger.
The previous owner said me he got it off the shelf, if I remember right, it was a hat custom made to someone that did not went back to get it.
I got it only because I wanted a Buckaroo Hatters hat one and the price was good.
I wish it had a higher crown but I do not regret getting it, it's well made, I do like the color combo of the felt+ribbon+bound edge and it have a 4" brim.

That's a nice pair of back bow Lees there. Great stories to go with them.

Your style is incredible. Everyday I look forward to seeing what you're wearing.
Thanks DH. Happy to entertain.

Late to the party on this look. Wow! I just love the overcoat, wish I could fit into one like this.
Thanks Red. The Navy had some nice coats. And they seem to be in the same Mirtillo as the Borsalino.

Thanks all,
Michael
