Jish: You may need a heat gun... I had to remove a lot of veneer from a table once and the heat gun was the way to go but you have to be careful not to burn the job. You seem to know what you're doing so I'm keen to see how it turns out!

I can't say that I have ever been particularily drawn to pipe smoking but I do own one. Infact it is sort of resposible for the burning of small cabin that I lived in. This is not to say that I am careles with a pipe it was...
I can't help too much but someone in Arizona might be able to help out. Try some second hand stores in your area. You could also buy one from one of the numerous hat stores about.
