They are fully spiked, but when they wear a bit I might have them resoled with standard leather soles.

Speaking of AE, I just noticed last night a big sale of $150.00 off select styles. I went with the Leiden Weaves in Dark Chile: the Walnut was crying out to me, but I recently bought the McAlistairs in that color. The Neumoks are also on sale, as are the Shreveport weaves. Maybe I'll break down and get them as well in the walnut. I can justify it to myself somehow - birthday coming up, tax returns, etc.

Once upon a time I could resist temptation. No more. I saw the sale ends tomorrow, so here come the Shreveport walnuts (early birthday present).
I've been considering a pair of shreveports for a while. Very nice choice. I think my next shoe purchase will be some modern Churchs or Chaeney spectators from the outlets in the UK. My friend lives there and the exchange rate is pretty solid these days.
Well, the spectators arrived and I'm a little disappointed. Here is a pic of the coding. The online thrift had it listed as a 13 and didn't show a pic. Unfortunately, my feet couldn't squeeze into an 11C without removing some toes.
I added some conditioner and polish and they don't look too bad.

i have several pairs of red wings and these are one of my faves. they take a while to break in, but are comfy regardless. i got mine from sierra trading and at $199 was the cheapest price i've found.
