Love the SC shirts Charles. Unfortunately, the sleeves are frequently too short.

And to me, the flannel-shirt is nice warming and comfortable, especially in the evening, if my living-room is heated, but, because of the autumn-weather, I can feel a very little frosty, with the summerly Poloshirt from daytime.
So, the flannels are just a good thing, I like it!

Yes, that can be an issue for the well-watered among us, but I recall we managed to get you in the zone with a Buzz Rickson's mock-twist chambray, and there are some Sugar Cane shirts that are indeed longer. Of course, depending on your needs and taste in fabrics, styles and colors, it may be more limiting for you, but most styles in size XL (which we sell the most of), will yield no less than a 34"-35" shirt sleeve length, and there are instances of lengths longer than this, as well as size Lg. lengths coming in at the 34" - 35" length.
These great shirts, of which few now remain, have 35" in the Lg. and 36.75" in the XL, and they are amazing values @ $110.00 each:

I've done it, buying three new shirts, today.
Two lumberjacks (bordeaux-tartan and yellow-red/brownish-tartan) and one bordeaux-coloured.
Now, I'm set for life.
Like my first one, the three new ones are also from these better/more valuable-ones and equally "fleecy". I think, they are from the same production-line. The bordeaux-coloured is specially marked as "Thermo-Flanellhemd", but I don't know really, why. It's the same kind of production, like the others. Maybe it's a little more fleecy. Off course, all are made of 100% cotton.
But, I'm just happy.

I just picked up a couple of light wool, 1950's Mcgregor shirts, one of which seems never to have been worn. I've been finding quite a few on both Etsy and ebay and at very reasonable prices

I got enough flannel to open my own Dept. store, Lots of NOS shirts that Ive picked up in thrift stores over the years. A lot of Canadian made vintage flannel. This would be a real undertaking to post.
My favourite vintage brand to wear are those 70s *Champion* Red flannel shirts. I see them from time to time and pick them up for pennies, Love them because they are vintage, cheap and still in style. The flannel really crosses the gap between west coast 70s hardcore punk rocker and Local logging town Trucker fashion so for me its perfect Canadian Fashion.
If you pay a premium lot for designer flannel, U are doing it wrong.

I am partial to Filson Alaskan Guide shirts in 8-oz. cotton flannel that are available in Extra Long sizes to accomodate my long arms.

THIS is the hardest part of getting a good wool/heavy flannel winter shirt for me. Shoulders, neck, sleeve, check.
Torso, um, I don't play Santa on December 24th at the mall. Why is this so hard?
I have a new Woolrich coming this week. Supposed to be one of their more modern cuts, so I'll post back the results.

So the Woolrich shirt came and it's awesome. Fit is great, but man, she's an itchy thing! Of course that's to be expected, but for sure, an undershirt is called for.
I'll see if I can get a pic once the wife is done shooting this week. I really love it, and the patterns all match on pockets, flaps, etc. THAT is a detail that drives me nuts on patterned shirts.
