I was quite excited to see that they were making the book into a movie. But when I found out they were deviating from the original book (as they always seem to do), my excitement faded. The book was excellent and I honestly don't know why they couldn't have followed it more.
Still, I'll wait...
Let's see...
Saving Private Ryan on DVD
A wonderful lap desk
Handmade doilies from my grandmother when she was young
Books
Four CD collection of songs from the 40's and 50's
It was a wonderful Christmas!
I'm a Scrabble gal, myself. My husband and I can get pretty competitive. He's sneaky and always manages to take advantage of the Triple Word Score blocks. :eusa_doh:
One child from my womb :) and two stepsons, so three in all. Only one stepson lives with us, the other lives with his mom in Kentucky. We got to see him over Christmas, though.
Thanks for the additional links. There is so much information out there - I took a trip to our university library yesterday and had to enlist my husband's help in carrying away all the books I found on espionage in the war.
I've been using our subscription to Sirius to listen to the standards station they have, but this website looks awesome. Thanks so much for the heads up!
I'm not sure if this is something you'd be interested in, but this site has classic movie screensavers and wallpaper.

Crumbs! I don't know where to look for this kind of info and need your help!
I need some information on what a doctor would do in the instance of a shattered kneecap in 1945. It would have to be an army doctor. Would they replace it with a steel plate? Pin it together? I have NO idea...
I'm pretty excited to see the new Bond film. I think Sean Connery will always "own" the role, but I'm eager to see how David Craig does. He appears to have the type of smoldering personality that Bond needs. We'll see...
Late to the party, as usual. I LOVE looking at all your pics!
Here are a few of me.
