A last (I think) barbour question

What is the difference of the regular waxed material on the beaufort original and the Sylkoil on the classic?

I was told the classic gets one less finishing step, does not carry the sheen but is as weather resistant as the original...also, I find it funny on the barbour web page they say the sylkoil was the original fabric used... Also that the classic will look like a well broken in jacket where the new original will take some time to develop that look.

Thanks

OK, I will answer this one for myself...got a reply back from Barbour saying the strength of both the sylkoil and the what they call the original are the same, the sylkoil is considered easier as it is not shinny and it will be softer to the touch...they are each as water proof as the other. Got my 1/2 off jacket from Orvis today, you cannot beat the price....
