"Bee Cool" hat w/plastic visored brim

It's very possible that Bee Hat Co. produced a version of this farming/fishing hat. I have a Spring/Summer 1972 Bee Hat Co. catalog, but it is not represented there even though many other 40's-50's-60's style models are.

Bee "Roma" hat

I have the Bee "Roma" hat...a chocolate brown Indy-style hat. I think it's wool, but I'm not sure...it may just be rough fur felt as others have mentioned here.

I have always been fond of this style straw [never had one with the green visor]. It was a common hat in my neck of the woods when I was a youngster.

Did Bee produce the "Bee Cool" line of straws? I have one of those dirt-cheap farmworker hats of theirs, the kind with the green plastic visor incorporated into the front of the brim....
Just a bit :eek:fftopic:
I have been trying to find one of those farmworker hats with the green plastic visor in the front of the brim for years. My grandfather wore one every summer. I even sent the Vermont Country Store a suggestion to add them to their product line. (Insert obligatory joke about their s_x toys.) I wonder if Duane will have any of these?

Carter, I found a place where I got a couple of the straws without the visor and I think they also have the ones with the visor.
These hats are like the ones I wore when I was a kid...i.e. they dont have the huge brim.
When I get back home I will look in the catalog and let you know if they have them.
an old thread..

I've got a couple of these. They seemed to like the baseball tie in.

Rusty, Thanks. I was able to access their catalog from the linked thread you posted. No visor brims but it looks like I'll be placing an order for a vented style.
