“Genuine Front Quarter Horsehide Leather” label looks like its from the 1930s, 1940s or earlier. Excellent condition for its age. Leather is sturdy but soft. There is one rip in the lining underarm area as shown.

Update; Just got the jacket (2nd listing here). It's incredible. Thanks again for posting this! Love the patina & mouton collar! It's so plush. The leather is so substantial. This is my first horsehide jacket. Lining is 90% intact with some light tears around the seams. Currently hanging the jacket inside out in the sun to rid the lining of the odor (has that musty smell).

Any other tips are greatly welcome!
