Awwww! That is the cutest picture ever!

Lately I've been attracted to Dustin Hoffman in The Graduate.

Isn't it just? :) *dreamy sigh* I think he's too perfect for words, honestly! :):)

:eek:fftopic: What does cougar mean, I've never heard that word?

Cougar is usually an older woman going after a very younger guy, I believe they are also known as "cradle robbers";)

Hey - he's the same age as me, you cheeky wee thing!!! lol

CD - love that pic of Mr Purefoy...very scrummy! He was gorgeous in Rome and Knight's Tale. :D

Did you mean the one I posted? ;) But I agree, I think he's entirely too perfect for words, and one of the very few modern actors I've had a long term affection for. The others being Paul Bettany, Rufus Sewell, and Ralph Fiennes.

In addition to many of the men mentioned here, I've got to go with Samuel Beckett. Young and old, the man was darn fine looking, and a dead *brilliant* writer to boot.

I wondered how long it would be before AR got posted! Rickman is...wonderful!

Oh I'm so glad you put up Jason Issacs as Lucius. Those movies just kill me... gotta love JK Rowling, if only for having a say in the casting... Alan Rickman, David Thewlis, Ralph Finnes, Jason Issacs, Gary Oldman...

And for those of you ladies who are like me and have an eye for the off beat, uncommon looking gents, here are a few of my favorites (aside from Mr. Beckett, who got solo attention earlier):

100524761.jpg

Gregory Peck of course.

eecummings.jpg

e.e. cummings... i have a thing for the literary.

00310136_lg1.jpg

Bowie. The beginning and end of attractive.

cover1.jpg

The person that John Lydon is makes him unbelievably attractive. And he's handsome.

ian_curtis.jpg

Ian Curtis.

tom_waits_1.jpg

Tom Waits.

marcello.jpg

Someone had to have mentioned Marcello already.

Peter Murphy. Holy Smoke.

foto-2001.jpg

Nick Cave.

Bye now!

The hottest Gold Era fella was in my opinion:

Marlon Brando! He was so hot in the late 40s and early 50s. Think "A Streetcar Named Desire".
Bon Appetit! :essen:

Either I'm blind, or people have actually failed to mention -the- hottest middle aged man from britain. (Yes, I do have a taste for them. ;) )

Gary Oldman

And also, I would be stupid if I didn't put my best friend on the list, Hammelby. (I'm sorry, but you just have to live with being handsome, hun'. ;) )

I'm surprised no mention of Russell Crowe.

Oh, he fits in there....see, I have a few different categories of handsome/sexy/good-looking...I suppose this goes along with that other thread about the differences between being handsome and being attractive...the more I think about it, the more confusing it becomes!

  • Rugged (think Russel Crowe, George Clooney, Hugh Laurie)
  • Dark/Dangerous/Moody (those brooding bad boys in our lives who are all too often misunderstood...dark, mysterious, and delicious!)
  • Intelligent (brain power can be sexy!)
  • "Pretty" (men who are so good looking you just melt)
  • "Boy Next Door" (those "ordinary" men who are really quite extraordinary!)
  • "Je ne sais quoi" (those men who don't really fit into any of the above categories, but are irresistible nonetheless!)

You know, I've never thought he was really the 'hunk' type [huh]
Now Hayden Christenson (sp?), who played in the last 'Star Wars' movies was a huge hunk...especially the last episode! (but of course not when he got burnt to a crisp!:p )
