I used to just have two straw hats, one casual and one more formal.
Then a certain friend (you know who you are, ahh??) pointed me here. And i started thinking, hey, maybe i should get a non-straw hat.
And then i absorbed some kind of anti-contemporary bias about how real vintage hats are oh so much better and better made and hardier than those wimpy newfangled ones.
So i started doing what seemed to be the common thing to do and look for stuff on Ebay.
And i found some straw hats i wanted, and others i didn't.
And then i decided ya know what, i'll go for one of those felt hats. A grey fedora, why not. But it's gotta be at least somewhat old.
And i find this. And it looks pretty good, nice and simple... and then someone outbids me right at the end of the time, while i'm still contemplating my great deal and the 'you've been outbid' email hasn't reached me yet to warn me.
So i blame you-all.
