John Wayne's Red River D buckle

In 1946 Howard Hawks gave Red River D belt buckles to the major cast members of his first Western, "Red River" (released in 1948), starring John Wayne, Walter Brennan, and Montgomery Clift. Wayne and Hawks exchanged buckles, each wearing buckles having the other's initials on the faces. Wayne wore his buckle in many of his subsequent movies.

And finally, my question. Did Wayne wear his Red River D buckle on movies not directed by Howard Hawks? If he did, please identify them.
