This is the only place I can share this:
I belong to a very interesting club which meets every Tuesday for lunch here in New York. I never know who I'm going to be sitting with. This week, I had a very pleasant hour-long chat with the lady sitting next to me:
Marge Champion
You're probably the only people who know who she is. She was absolutely delightful. She told stories about Bing Crosby and Liberace and of course, her husband, Gower Champion. She's in her 80s and still dances.
At this same club, I've had lunch with Ed Herlighy on St. Patrick's Day (who stood up and sang "Danny Boy"), Mario Cuomo, Al Hirschfeld's wife, and Andrea Marcovicci even made a pass at me.
Just thought I'd share. I don't know why I haven't thought to do so before.
