Wow. Wow!! I LOVE Maxine Sullivan! Her rendition of 'Loch Lomond' is *gorgeous*, aside from the unnecessary male backing vocals. I mean, really good stuff. He vocal control was superior, her voce was haunting and masterful in its containment; what a talent. Thank you *so much* for posting this...

Excellent article -- thanks for posting! I've heard some of the broadcasts Sullivan did with John Kirby in the late thirties, and they're wonderful stuff -- which makes me all that more interested to know exactly what was on the records and tapes found in that attic!

Whew, lucky the right person found it. Most people would have taken one look at it and thrown it out as "a lot of old junk." It's also nice to read of a talented star who had a happy life.

Yes, most people would throw it out.
I went to one of the 3 or 4 auctions of Bill Klein's estate. That dude never threw anything out either and had made arrangements in his will for it to be sold. Many movie and music collectors are now happy people.
