Wow. Wow!! I LOVE Maxine Sullivan! Her rendition of 'Loch Lomond' is *gorgeous*, aside from the unnecessary male backing vocals. I mean, really good stuff. He vocal control was superior, her voce was haunting and masterful in its containment; what a talent. Thank you *so much* for posting this...

Excellent article -- thanks for posting! I've heard some of the broadcasts Sullivan did with John Kirby in the late thirties, and they're wonderful stuff -- which makes me all that more interested to know exactly what was on the records and tapes found in that attic!
