Repro. RAF whistle used as a main zipper pull?

I've been thinking about buying a reproduction RAF whistle for use as a main zipper pull on an Aero Brando M/C jacket. I have (obviously!) no concern about authenticity, but was wondering if the whistle would be too bulky, or if there are any drawbacks that I'm missing.

I'm also puzzling about how to use it as a whistle easily when it's also used as a pull; any suggestions for an easily-detached attachment welcome!

Well, that settles it! :)

I'll keep it on a string in a pocket instead!

(I'm secretly 12 years old, and I'm convinced that at some point having a whistle will be crucial for me! ;))

(PS: Actually, apart from the zipper pull idea a piercing whistle would be useful; my wife and I have a small farm, and whistles are wonderful for alerting others that chickens/turkeys/ducks have escaped from their pens, and help is needed to corral them!)
